On July 15, 2019 New Jersey State Senator Christopher “Kip” Bateman traveled to Margaretville, in the Town of Middletown, New York, home of the Faith American Brewing Company. He presented Mr. Grammer, founder of the Faith American Brewing Company, with an American flag that was flown over the United States Capitol in Washington, DC, in his honor on June 5, 2019.
Margaretville Volunteer Fire Chief Nelson Delameter led the Pledge of Allegiance prior to Senator Bateman presenting the flag and a commemorative plaque to Mr. Grammer.
New York Commissioner of Agriculture Richard A. Ball represented the State of New York. Representing the Town of Middletown were Supervisor Patrick Davis, Deputy Supervisor Brian Sweeney, Board Members Ken Taylor and Chris Dabritz, Superintendent of Highways John Biruk, Code Enforcement Officer Hiram Davis and Planning Board Chair Sue Finch. Margaretville Mayor John Hubbell represented the village.
Also attending on behalf of the Margaretville Volunteer Fire Department were Second Assistant Chief Chuck Scully, First Lieutenant Sarah Scully, Second Lieutenant Henry Friedman and Safety Officer John Hubbell.
Jessica Olenych, president of the Business Association of Margaretville, welcomed Mr. Grammer.
Speakers thanking Mr. Grammer for his commitment and investment in the community included New York Commissioner of Agriculture Richard A. Ball, Supervisor Davis, Deputy Supervisor Sweeney and Planning Board Chair Finch.
